TN: "Big" Bob Martin Appreciation Day

Post by Mike Sweeney »

There will be a "Big" Bob Martin Appreciation Day held at American Legion Post 88 on Elm Hill Pike in Donelson, TN, on Sunday, Nov. 16th, from 1PM till 10PM.

As most of you are aware, Bob had one of his legs removed below the knee today. He came through the surgery just fine.

Those of us who know him would like to show our appreciation for his friendship over the years by having this event for him. There will be no cover charge but donations will be accepted. There will be food available on site that day.

If you would like to play or need more information, please contact either Mike or me.

Thanks in advance for all your support.

Bob, you know how I feel about ya buddy. From the roar of your laughter to the twang in that Strat, I will always cherish you and Irene's friendship all these years and all the time at the real Gabes that used to play real country music. So get well buddy so ya can get out here amongst us again. Remember when you and Cal were playing for me and we were coming back from NC on that old bus and were passing that gallon milk jug around? Love ya man, WC

Hey Mike,

This is a great thing you and Teresa are doing, I just wish I could be there. I'm sure Richard and I are not the only ones who can't make it, but would like to help. Has there been a fund set up for donations?

Thanks,

Jim

Well, Bob, to answer your questions, YES! That's all the hints you're going to get! You'll just have to wait and see like everybody else.

Oh you're soooo mean :-) Well I've ruled out Hawkshaw Hawkins, The Big Booper, Waylon, Lefty...... So that narrows it down some :-)
