Hot on the heels of his St. Louis appearance with the Canadian Connection, Jeff was named 2008 CCMA (Canadian Country Music Awards) Steel Player of the Year.

Way to go Jeff - they even cut to you 3-4 times on the televised song w/Gord Bamford :D

I got to see Jeff at the CCMA's and we had a couple of minutes to talk shop and eat some dinner. Those award shows always seem to be pulling you in one direction or another so sometimes it's difficult to do much talking. Jeff I hope your 16 hour drive back home was a safe one.
