HSGA Joliet 2008 Performance Schedule Posted!

Post by Gerald Ross »

The performance and workshop schedules for the Oct 9-11, 2008 HSGA Joliet Convention have been posted.

2008 HSGA Joliet Performance Schedule

Looks like a nice lineup with solid performers like LT Zinn, Ian Ufton, Paul Kim, Steve Cheney, Mike Scott, Duke Ching, Phil Bender, Terry Miller, Chris Kennison, Doug Smith and perennial favorites Kay Koster and Bernice Honold (did that get your attention Rick Aiello?)

Don't forget the free workshops - Beginning C6 steel, Beginning Ukulele and Beginning Hula.

Are those enticing hula dancers from Milwaukee showing up again this year? Go ahead laugh... hula dancers from Milwaukee... ask anyone who was at Joliet 2007 about the after hours jam sessions. Gals love guys who can dance (fact). ;-)

There are still a performance slots left on the the Thursday show - so get your registration forms in ASAP if you want to strut your stuff on stage.

Also... a big also... please, if you are planning on attending the convention get your registration forms to Wally Pfeifer ASAP (reg forms on link above). He really needs a head count to give to the luau caterer and the hotel. The caterer really wants a "close" ballpark headcount so he can plan the menu and bill the HSGA accordingly for the luau feast. Also the Holiday Inn wants some firm room counts as well.

Yes, you can always show up at the door on the day of festival and pay your fee... but registering early makes the Joliet coordinators lives easier and your vacation less stressful with a guaranteed hotel room and a comfortable seat at a luau table shared with your friends.

Enough so ... that I just made a reservation at the Holiday Inn

Things are still "up in the air" ... so I didn't/haven't sent Wally my stuff ...

And consequently lost my playing slot ... as the kids say ... my bad ...

What do you say Harry ...

Rick... you are officially on the schedule for Thursday. I just added your name to the roster.

Now we need Harry Dietrich and Jeff Strouse to fill in some slots and round out the Eastern USA contingency.

If Harry isn't coming, I could handle those intros in his honor :D

I'm bringing my frypan this year. Couldn't be any worse than a bakelite, and it's a lot lighter! :\
