Pics of "The Lloyd Green"

Post by Ronald Sikes »

I received my new "Show Pro" from Jeff yesterday. It was set up so good when I got it I was able to play it at rehearsal last night. This guitar is amazing in the way it plays and the tone you get out of it.Jeff is an outstanding guy. These guitars are custom made as you order them.I believe mine is the first one where the color goes all the way across the bottom.I wanted Jeff to build me a guitar with a vintage look and I think it turned out great, with the curved keyhead, curved knees, rope inlay and the sunburst finish. The pics aren't the best,I need a better camera. It plays and sounds even better than it looks.

Ron, I was out at Jeff's a couple weeks ago and your guitar was on the bench. I really love how the sunburst is dark on the bottom of the aprons. I hope you enjoy it!

She's a real beauty! I love these guitars that Jeff is building. Robbie Turner let me play his Show Pro at the Fulton show back in April, and it was simply amazing how good and smooth it played. The tone of it was also spectacular. To me, they have the look and sound of a vintage instrument, but the playability of a modern steel. The best of both worlds!

I can't afford to buy a steel guitar right now, but if I could, I'd be on the phone with Jeff in a New York minute ordering a new Show Pro "The Lloyd Green" in tobacco sunburst!

Congratulations on your new guitar! I trust that you will be able to enjoy it for many years to come.

Ron, It's a beautiful guitar. I heard Johnny Cox playing a Sho Pro in the Sho pro room in Dallas and it sounded great as I know yours does. Congratulations on the new guitar. :D

Hey Paddy,

ETA for pickup is now August 12th. I will go to Nashville with a Buddy to pick it up. As soon as I return there will be pics on the forum.

Wally; they sound amazing if you like the Sho Bud tone.

Regards,
Mark T

very nice steel. i would like to say that if a high dollar brand new custom made steel wasn't set up well enough to play at a rehearsal..let alone a pro gig...i'd be upset.

You're right Chris.I guess what I should have said was,I received the guitar just in time to take it out of the box,set it up for about 10 minutes, put it back in the case and leave with it.The gig I was rehearsing for didn't leave any time to make any adj. on the knee levers or the foot pedals, with very little time to tune, and it was all set up very nice.Plus you know how it is playing a brand new guitar. However this guitar was very comfortable to me from the beginning. :) :D
