Steinar, Please don't feel rushed. Today (Thursday) is two weeks from the original post, and in that, you stated there should be a new song every two weeks or so. If it takes a couple of extra days to get everything "just right", I can only suspect that it's for the best. I look forward to hearing what you've come up with!

New tune up on MySpace now - the beautiful ballad "May This Be Love". No exploding drums or fuzz guitars on this one, just acoustic guitar, weissenborn, a "textural" electric guitar, and not the least - Norwegian jazz great Inger Marie Gundersen on vocals.
For more about Inger Marie you can visit her website or MySpace site.
Enjoy!

Thanks guys!

Steinar
Now I feel like having some fun and do some 'dirty' blues; "Belly Button Window" or "Remember". Will probably stick with bottleneck slide for those tunes though, but who knows... These arrangements tends to take on a life of their own once I get started.Tom Pettingill wrote: ... can't wait to see whats next!!

I had to take a longer break because my old faithful POD broke down, plus some other studio equipment also started to act strange, but now I've got a Pod XT and everything is working as it should. When I listen to the sound quality of the Pod XT I realize it was about time to replace my old one from 2000 anyway...
I've started working on an instrumental version of "Drifting",- that's a real tricky one to get right so it'll take a little time..

I have been away and am catching up today.
Steinar, I have just one question...how can you play so well with the goosebumps you must get when playing with such a talented singer? listening just now, I got goosebumps. her voice is enchanting and warm. wow. it got to me. if I were behind a steel in a studio and heard that voice I don't know how I could play.I would be both lost in reverie and intimidated at the same time.
you have such great 'feel' Steinar. I love your multi-instrument playing. it has been a treat listening for these several years now.

Hey Steiner, I finally got back to your myspace and checked out the latest tunes. I love what you've done so far with the Hendrix stuff and each tune is as excellent as the next. Man, Inger Marie Gundersen's vocal on May This be Love is just a perfect fit with your playing on that one. In a couple spots you get a dobro-ish sort of vibe with the Lazy River... nice.
I Don't Live Today has always been a fav of mine and I love your version. I enjoyed it when at 1:24 you cut loose with electric and drums
You jammed on Belly Button Window, very nice dirty blues vibe.
Keep up the good work, I'm enjoying all of it, your arrangements on all of these is excellent.
