Who's got the most Knee Levers & Pedals on an E9th ??
This might be an interesting thread? I remember seeing Franklins steel having a lot of metalwork dangling down, I just wondered whats the maximum? Pictures would be good on this thread too?
AND
Do many of you stateside pickers lower the B's to Bb?
I remember Fred Justices' was a bit wierd ( for me ), It kinds done things that were different from what I would call a standard set-up?
Going to bed now at 11.45pm, and I will check in the morning to see what replies this one gets..

Dave I have 4 pedals and 6 knees on my Zum - although my new Hybrid will have 1 extra knee on the left leg to give me the full Crawford cluster - albiet set up slightly differently than Jimmy.
I think you will find the B-Bb lower is fairly common, and quite often found on the left vertical it would seem.
My 4th pedal is the Franklin changes on 5, 6 and 10.

I've never personally seen more than Buddy Cage
I believe he has 11 knees on his guitar. I was trying to discern what the heck someone would use that many pedals for. It seemed he did a lot of double string unison stuff. Maybe the extra levers did just that.

Although technically I play a U-12,if I were to look at it as an extended E9,4 out of the 8 pedals would apply plus 8 out of the 9 knee levers. In other words if I were forced to play a 10 string E9 and to do what I can now do on the same 10 strings,I would have 4 pedals & 8 knee levers.BTW the levers in question are laid out with 5 on the left knee - 2 going left,1 going right and 2 verticals. And 3 on the right knee - two left and 1 right.

My old guitar was 5+6 on E9th, and 5+6 on C6th. My new guitar is 5+5 on both necks. I'm no great player, though, and I've seen players with 3+2 totally smoke some guy (like me) that had far more pedals, or a fancier guitar.
In general, I don't care what someone else plays, or how many pedals they've got. Playing well impresses me, having lot's of fancy gear doesn't.
