Hello From The Deep, DEEP South
Good Morning Lefty: Just wanted to say hello, and that I have missed getting to set up beside you down here in South Texas for the last two years. I know that you will have a great show and great weather. Say hello and give Barb a hug from Bev and I and I'll await a post from someone on how great the SHOW went. "GOD BLESS", Alan & Beverly Harrison.

Good Morning, Alan: Good to hear from you...there are times Barb and I wish we were down in south TX w/ you considering all the snow we've been having here in the Midwest. Hope it lets up latter part of February, especially during our Feb 22-24 show which is shaping up to be a good one. We do have several new players scheduled plus a new entertainer, i.e. Stubby Steele. They tell me he's one heck of a showman and will wow the crowd with a 'short' set.
Neil called last night and mentioned you were playing your 'new' Mullen on the jam at Paradise Park--bet you're enjoying playing it. Our best to you and Bev from Barb and me. ...lefty

Hi Bill, our show is very fortunate to have an excellent house band backing steelers during their sets. Roger Miller plays awesome lead guitar, worked the road w/ Jimmy Dickens and others some years ago, does many recording sessions and now also plays steel; Glenn Runnels plays some of the finest fiddle you'll hear anywhere, has worked the road with various artists, and hails from Lubbock, TX; Mark Wayne is not only a very creative steel player (having won the Operation Russless contest a year or so ago) but also provides outstanding bass lines backing the artists at the show; and last, but certainly not least, is the very capable Harrison (Harry) Lange who plays flawless percussion, graduates from college soon as a percussion major and plans to join his brother, Eddie, in Nashville in the not too distant future. Regardless of the headliners or regional artists playing our show, we know they are in good hands with this house band. Thanks for mentioning this Bill and looking forward to seeing you in Waterloo. ...lefty

Not too long now - just a few weeks...Hope ya'll have your reservations.
The NEISGA show is like coming home. When you walk thru the door you're greeted as family. The people, the players, the music...just a big reunion. Just look at all the wonderful things the NEI group has done: Annual shows, jams, supporting other area shows, the Jump Start Acadamy, and now the adoption of Stubby Steel. Finally that little guy has some good folks to look up too. Shhhh...don't tell him, he's not getting taller, the band is just sitting down...
So join us Feb 22 - 24 for truckloads great music, fellowship, and down home fun.
See ya'll in Waterloo!!

Glad you mentioned reservations, Lana. Folks should make reservations by February 10 to get the show rate of $65 or $67.50. Lodging information is available on our website, www.steelguitarjam.com.
Only 18 days until steel guitar music begins to grace the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo! Lana, maybe you could pick a little steel for us during the open circle jam Friday night? ...lefty
