WI: Dairy Steel Show moved up

Post by Craig A Davidson »

The Dairy Steel Show will be March 7-9 at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Call 1-800-THE-Mead for special rates. Just tell them you are with the show. Our special guests will be Joe Wright, Danny Hullihen, and Russ and Laney Hicks. Any questions contact me or Susie. Oh, yeah, the reason for the date change is that the Dallas show is on our normal weekend. We are looking forward to seeing all of you there. Player invites will go out shortly. If you players want a spot and don't get an invite feel free to contact me also.

Wisconsin Dairy Show

Post by Danny Hullihen »

This show is without question, one of the best steel shows I've had the honor and pleasure of attending. The hospitality here is second to none, as is the many great steel players Craig has performing on this show. This is one of those rare shows where the back up band can play anything you throw at them, and they have a drummer and fiddle player to die for!

The attendance at this show has gotten bigger and bigger every year with folks coming in from all over the country, and after listening to the stellar performers Craig has at this show, it's no small wonder. The local talent at this show is also equal to some of the best steel players in the industry, and in some cases, even better!

This is also one of those shows where distributors would find it to be well worth their time to attend. You'll find these folks to be very supportive of the steel guitar industry and all of it's available products. So if you're looking for a show that "has it all," this is definately one of them!

If you don't attend any other steel show throughout the year, make this one a "must attend" on your list of them. Believe me, once you attend this show one time, you'll definately want to go back every year!

My only disappointment about this show is when it's over and time for us to go back home.

Thank-you Danny for the kind remarks. We would sure welcome any distributors that want to attend. We will make room for all we can handle. I am starting to get fired up already.

Some of you don't know Danny Hullihen. Danny is not only is a great player but he also is the owner of Jagwire strings for those of you that don't know about him.

This is a great show folks! Unfortunately, The western Justice Band is booked both days of the show, so we will not be able to come. I hate to miss it. It is a great time for all!!!

Hey Craig....I thought I'd go ahead and order the weather for that week-end.....something in the low 70s will be ok....naturally no rain or snow...a few clouds will be alright as long as they don't cover up the sun. You know Dallas is the following week-end and we can't have too much of a contrast, a change, in the weather...that causes colds and other nasty conditions that we don't need at steel shows.
Also, we'll need lots of those cheese curds to keep our energy level high.....that's about all I can think of, except of course the five grand that we agreed on as my fee....
See you soon,
Your 'PAL',
Russ

Russ, My internet provider died on the connection about the fee? All I got was that you were thinking about doing it for free? Was that it?

Wisconsin Dairy Show

70's??? Craig, did you decide to have the show in San Antonio this March instead of Wisconsin Rapids?

I think Russ was right about the fee though, as that's the same amount as we agreed on too. :D

I'm not sure what that translates to, but I think it means Russ and Danny must be hallucinating again!

I just got word tonight that Joe Savage will be joining us. He plays steel guitar on Midwest Country on the RFD channel for you shut-ins that don't get out and about.

I heard Joe savage last Saturday night on KUNI Prairie Home Companion. He was backing Susie Boggus. It was a great show with Joe providing some really nice steel licks. Good addition Craig.
