Good Lord. Why in the hell would I pay $30 for new picks? But...you know, I've never found picks I really liked on my fingers, and it's a pretty integral part to playing...and these sound like they'd be good. I think it's worth a $30 investment. I've ordered a pair. What the hey!

First I got the thin ones and they fit well but were a little to thin. Rusty made me a pair out of the heavier material and they are great. They fit and stay on. A few minor ajustment out of the box and your in business. I like my set. Rusty said he has a booth at the Texas show so come out and try a pair. I know 30.00 for picks is high but if they fit right, feel right, and give great tone 30.00 is worth not having to dealing with a sore hangnail. God Bless

Do these picks have some unique feature that really sets them apart from say, ProPicks?

Got the picks last night and tried them out.Out of the box almost perfect fit , a few minor adjustments and I was playing , very clean sound very comfortable on the fingers. My palm blocking seem to be more natural as the picks add a little more extension to the fingers.
Also Tried out my new JH BAR. Great tone, no noise on the strings and easy to grip.

I'm a new player -- my wife got a set of these picks for me for Christmas, but gave them to me early Image. I find them to be VERY comfortable! Can have them adjusted loose, and they will still stay in place. No sore fingers after playing for a couple of hours. Fit almost out of the box.

These are the best picks I have ever used. I play trumpet as well as steel, and believe it or not, I don't even have to take these picks off to play horn. I have 2 sets and will be ordering more.

These picks are substantially heavier than any pick I,ve seen. also about 1/3 longer overall,
they fit just behind the first finger joint.
I really never had too much trouble with Pro-pics,etc,as far as pain, they seem to catch on a string sometimes and slid off. What I like is the tone I get, Lord knows anything that will help that elusive tone is worth $30 bucks.
As far as the actual measurements for the thickness of the material, you'll need to ask Rusty. But as far as I can tell, they are thicker.

Rusty is a very innovative guy and He's been working on this pick project for a couple of years or more. I know He's put a lot of time and money into their manufacture and it's good to see the fruit of his efforts getting such a good response. My best to you Rusty.

Calvin, I just got his heavy set of picks about 2 weeks ago. The thickiness is about the same as the lighter pick. The only thing I feel is that the material is stronger and will let you attack the strings and get a better sustain than the lighter materials. If you have a very light touch I suggest you get the lighter material. I know you are new as I am so I got the heavy material. The heavy material I got is still abour 3/4 the mateial as match up against the propik. It takes a few days to really get the feel down and your movement smooth. Picks are a very individual thing and we all have our likes and dislikes. Just try them with an open mind and see if the fit you and your style. Rusty will do his very best to make you a set that you are happy with. I know because he did just that for me. Best of luck and God Bless

These are great picks. It is hard to explain how nice they are. The feel is awesome. Almost feels like no picks at all.
Way to go Rusty.

Hey Gary, John, and the rest of you who have tried or are using them, how is the fit as say compared to the Pro-piks. I wear them in the "fingertip" style with the back edge just past the cuticle of the fingernail. Does this new style pick which fits over the first finger joint, have the "reach" so to speak ?
Thanks......

Indeed, I received mine a couple of days ago, and they're so light and form-fitting. Due to earlier postings, I was hesitant to bend them up the way I usually do with the comments of using them "right out of the box," but with a 90 degree bend, they are awesome and fit like a glove. I love 'em!

Stan: You can wear these any way you want. Mine don't fit over the joint (I don't think you'd be able to bend the joint, if it did), but just right in front of it.

Rusty's a great guy to deal with, as has already been said.

Stan, The propik wraps around the finger nail and when you work in a job were dry fingers split these pick hurt after a while. The new picks on the index finger wrap just about the first knukle joint. The middle finger uses a S type wrap around the 1st knukle. The finger nail is not contacted by the pick. It does take some getting use to but it took me about 30 minutes of playing and a few adjustments and I was set. I will state it is very important that you measure the finger when ordering. Rusty will assist you with this. Best of luck

Hi All,
I recieved my picks this morning.
After about ten minutes playing and a very minor adjustment I have realised that I will never use another brand of pick.
The difference is trmendous,I believe they were custom made for lil'ole Me.
Rusty is a genuine nice guy to deal with and post and packing was nil...to Scotland.
Look forward to meeting Rusty at Dallas in March.
Best regards
Billy

I do still play with Dennis's band at the weekends - the stage is normally littered with all the instruments he plays. :D

I will give him your regards. We are in the throes of recording an album.
