Topic: Basic 3 Positions With And Without Pedals?? |

 Awhile back someone posted 3 basic moves,such as bar on 3rd fret no pedals, same fret a&b pedals down move up 2 frets with pedal down.There were two more move but I lost my sheet to remind me..HELP.

Now have a SX 6 string lap in G,.A Tele plus telecaster, Larrivee acoustic.Also have a Fender resonator guitar with new Quarterman cone and spider,and an Allan tailpiece.Playing through a Fender Super Champ XD,using a little delay on the amp and a Harmonix Holy Grail Echo pedal,set on Hall turned to about 1pm.Just got a Fender Dual 6 Stringmaster style. Bought a Yamaha FGX5 Recently and love it. |

Don't forget up 3 frets with A & F and 3rd fret with B & E.
Also if you have vertical knee lever. A-B & V for C minor
on the 3rd fret and A pedal on 3rd fret for E minor and if
you use just the E lever you'll get a minor 1 fret up from
the A&B pedal down position. Hope this helps a little.

| Scott: The V on the A+F combo should be open, four frets up, not two. |

I think Scott means +2 above the IV which is correct.

| Carl..Not certain if this has been mentioned, but the lever that lowers string four 1/2 tone and the lever that lowers string six a whole tone when engaged simultaneously create a V chord (utilizing string combinations; 4,5,&6;56&8;,and 6,8,&10) in the pedals up position...FWIW: you may notice that by lowering string six you are creating a unison note with string seven, but by lowering six instead the V chord is then available in all three string groups without the necessity of changing string grips or even restriking the strings. |

In his video lessons Joe Wright identifies four home positions: open, A/B, A/F and the one that David's just described, which I think he calls the B position.
My aim is to be able to go fluently to IV, V, ii, iii, or vi from any of them. I'm slowly getting there.
