Although limited production, Weenik steels, Martin ("Mike") Weenik in Florida builds pedal steels. He's probably built around 15 in the last 8 or 10 years.

We built and shipped at least 30 pro guitars a month for the 3+ years I was at Dekley, and another 50 student guitars a month for a year or two. Rough guess would be 2-3,000 guitars total, maybe more.

Jackson is still going strong and they still build great steels! My steel was built in 2010. David and Harry Jackson, along with David's daughter Dawn Jackson started building steels again in 2005 after taking a break from building steels after Sho-Bud closed

Bill Ray (who has since passed on) from Jacksonville(?) FL built the Rayline pedal steel.

**right you are Doug (nothing wrong with YOUR memory). Upon further review, I have my Flynn's mixed up...it was Harold that made the Flynn steels.

The Nashville LTD, if I remember correctly was Gary Rittenberry. I remember trying the demo they had at St Louis, one year.

George Sell, who recently passed, built many GES steel guitars back in the 60s and 70s in the Philadelphia area.

The late Big John Bechtel made several "Big John Specials" in the late 60s.
