...Great stuff....Lovely playing and sound!!
I'm a beginner, but have been working from the Erv Niehaus tab...and would love your backing track...please!!

Suppose I need to get into this whole 'backing track' thing
......would I be needing something like Band In A Box??

Holy smokes Tore - great rendition. Your touch and tone on this song, which I would put in my top 20 all-time favorites, is just exquisite. I had to listen to it twice just now.

Another great modern interpretation along with Alaskan buddy Greg Booth's version on dobro and pedal steel.

It's all about the song, isn't it though? You can have the killer chops, but they can be wasted in a mediocre tune. Wichita Lineman is an enduring classic.

PM on the way for the backing track. Thanks Tore!

Thank's for the nice comments. It's the ZUM Hybrid via the Benado board and UA preamp/comp, no amp.

Download the backing track here:

Mark: It was Gregs version that inspired me to record this song. His version is just great.

Great job, love the tone and the delay settings. The track is very well done, too. Very enjoyable.

Very, very nice version......
Do I have to become a member of soundcloud first to get the backing track?
