WTSGA meeting was great

Post by Danny Letz »

The Palouseks are great folks to be around. Steve played a wonderful show. Unreal speed, tone, and taste. Wife Donna graced us by singing a few tunes and she's good at it. Following Steve's show, he did some jamming with Palmore and Toliver. We threatened to tape up a few of his fingers or tie a hand behind his back to make it fair. We had a good showing with about 70 in attendance. Thanks to Billy Tibbs, Dwane Pack, and Kasey Toliver for fine backup work. Thanks to the Merkel Middle School for use of the auiditorium. And finally thanks to the Tolivers for putting this together. I hope maybe Jim Keeney or someone will posts some pictures (hint hint).

I sure hate that I didn't get to come out. I'll be looking for the next one.

Danny, you are right in every respect! Steve is a fine gentleman, and really exceptional at the steel! His wife Donna, is also a nice lady, and a very nice singer. We stayed up jamming last night til 1:30 or so, and then today at the show. It was great! If you didn't make this one....you really missed one of the finest exhibitions you will ever see of pedal steel playing. Our next show will be early in January. So make plans to attend. We also had about 12 new members sign up for our club. This is great. If you'd like to join, please let me know!

Wow! What a day for the WSTGA! Steve Palousek is truly incredible and a great guy. I also enjoyed Donna's singing. I listened to his CD "Let the games begin" all the way home. If your interested in the steel guitar, I would recommend purchasing this CD. A huge Thank You is extended to Larry Toliver et al for putting this event together. Thanks to the backup players that did such a good job! I'm honored to be a part of the WTSGA!

Thanks Jim for posting the pictures. We all need to tell Jim thanks for buying and designing our banner. I thought it was great. I have also put a few videos on YouTube under Steve Palousek or Kacey Toliver. They turned out fairly well. Get ready for January.
