My first Band in a Box Rhythm rack.....my thanks to Rick .
After buying Rick Campbell's DVD of BIAB instructions, I decided to buy BIAB 2010 and give it a try. His instruction on how to make your own BIAB tracks is simple to understand and covers everything you need to get started.
So here's my first attempt at BIAB playing an old Carl Smith tune that Johnny Siebert, Carl's steel player, played so well.
Hope you like my E9th version.

Sounds absolutely great Roger, a real classic country sound. If you don't mind me saying so...you have that Weldon Myrick style to your steel playing and that is what makes country steel guitar sound like real country music.
Marlen SD 10 3 and 5,Fender 5 String Banjo, Flinthill 5 string banjo,Johnson Resonator Guitar, Ibanez AFS75T Country/Jazz Guitar.

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words.
After watching Ricks DVD I took some notes to refer back to later as I tried my hand at making a track. I've got a lot to learn that's for sure, but I feel more confident since watching Rick show how easy it can be. I tried BIAB several years ago and just gave up because it was too complicated for me. I have bought rhythm tracks from about everyone that sells them over the years....and I have a LOT of them. Now I can make my own for a change.
If you want to learn how to make your own tracks get Rick's BIAB DVD and .......git'er done!
Here's another Track I made today of a tune recorded by Ernest Tubb some years ago.
"Darling, Lets Turn Back the Years" hope you like it.

Songs
Great Job On Both Songs Roger. The first one, I don't know if I had ever heard it before.
I also bought Rick's BIAB Dvd. Sure makes it helpful watching someone do it, as compared to trying to get it out of a manual....

I'm glad you liked those oldies.....many thanks Carl and Eddie.
Believe it or not I stood on stage beside Johnny Siebert one night at the High School there in Elizabethton, TN. while Carl Smith, Roy Acuff and some other Opry Stars played to a Packed Auditorium that seated around 1000 people. It was standing room only!
I watched while Johnny played the whole show with Carl. This was around 1952 or '53. He was playing a Fender Triple Neck, if I remember correctly. It was so crowded that people were literly hanging out the windows and even the Stage was crowded with people watching the show! Carl Smith was a Big Star at that time....and of course so was Roy Acuff.
Johnny Siebert, Jerry Byrd, and Little Roy Wiggins were the players that most influenced me to try learning to play steel.
That's one reason I got Ricks DVD so I could make tracks for some of those old songs that no one seems to play much anymore.
Now, If I could play Steel, Fiddle, and Guitar and make BIAB tracks as good as Rick..... I'd be set to go!
