Matchbro with a lapsteel...
Hey guys,
Has anyone had experience using a Matchbro with a lapsteel?
Seems most (all?) of the reviews and comments i've been able to find have been related to their use on a pedal steel... similar, but not the same.
Specifically, i'd be wanting to use it with a bakelite rick.
Alternatively, has anyone had any success getting a somewhat dobro sound with some fancy EQ work?
thanks in advance.

I've played around with a Boss stompbox eq, alternating the frequency sliders full up or down. Has a similar effect as the 'bro boxes, but is very noisy (sssshhhhhhh-sound). I don't know about Bobbe Seymour's model, but I do know the SuperBro had it's own bit of noise when activated, but to a lesser degree than the Boss pedal trick.James Inkster wrote: Alternatively, has anyone had any success getting a somewhat dobro sound with some fancy EQ work?

I've used a $25 Behringer eq with the alternating slide routine and it isn't noisy. By tweaking it a bit I can get a sound good enough to where spending ten times as much isn't worth it.Chris Walke wrote:I've played around with a Boss stompbox eq, alternating the frequency sliders full up or down.
