Billy Mata and Texas Tradition

Post by Randy Boyd »

Roger,

Way to go! You know I've already copied some of your licks when Billy sings on one of our opry's. I was wondering which neck you used on "Across the Alley..", but now I know (since I could see you on this video). I've been using the C6th, but hadn't worked out all of the fills. Hope you don't mind me stealin', I'll try to make you proud...

Your buddy,

Randy

Roger,

You sounded great, as always. If you guys would just take a little more care with your stage appearance you might really have something

Thanks for the comments guys.

This was our first live TV performance. We had lots of fun.

Dave: This is the first cd I've played non-pedal on. This is a triology - There are 2 more coming.

Jeff: "I didn't realize" how hard it was to make a bunch of old, fat, grey men look good. Maybe some things sholdn't be in HD. At least they showed the steel.

Television...........a great new invention!

Roger........great performance by YOU and THE BAND!

You all looked fabulous in your matching 'uniforms' but don't be surprised if some of the anti-uniform folks here on the Forum get in your face about it. Just ignore THEM!

The BAND looked good and sounded good!

The TV camerman, as is typical, couldn't find the lead guitarist at anytime during his entire 'solo' which is a shame. Every guy in the band was shown EXCEPT the lead guitarist!

THANKS for sharing here with your friends.

Ray Thanks,
It's okay if they rat on us. We get lots of good comments since we started wearing suits about 2 years ago and our following loves it. If I go play in a bar (unusual) I won't wear a suit. Lots of bands dressup here.

As for the Guitar player ( David Waters) We like to keep him hidden. Some people think he's Col. Sanders making a comeback.

He really is a great guy & player.

We all had the same comments on the camera works but they were much better than a lot we've seen.

Roger, you looked plum "purty", and you did'nt seem a bit nervous. Very good performance by all the guys. I would "die" to work with a band like that. Hope to pick with you in St. Louie. Lonnie Portwood
