ProToolsLE question

Post by Michael Douchette »

(Posted in wrong forum first, sorry!)

I am having a very strange problem. I am using an mBox2, MacBook laptop, an AT-2020 mic, recording acoustic guitar. I have the phantom power on (required for the mic), the pad on, and the input knob turned all the way off, and I am still getting volume clipping. I am having to play really lightly to keep it from cracking up. It is not peaking at the mBox, just in the computer track. I cannot find an input level adjustment in the software. Anyone have this issue, and know of a resolution?

Problem solved! Just fyi, in case this happens to you:

Mac
Go to Finder, select your HD, and throw away folder named Digidesign Databases

Go to Disk Utilities, select your HD, and run Repair Permissions

Restart, and you're good to go!
