Well, not exactly... but I am thrilled that Jerry Fessenden, who was backstage at a Crosby-Nash concert last night (courtesy of their steeler, Dean Parks, who plays Fessenden guitars), offered to take Graham Nash a copy of my CD, 'Home, James', which has, as the lead track, Nash's old Hollies tune, 'Bus Stop'. Then Jerry had this photo snapped to prove that he's a man of his word (as if anyone ever doubted). Thanks Jerry! That was really nice! (By the way, several people at the concert mistook Jerry for David Crosby! How could that possibly happen??)
I indead was mistaken 4 times " welcome to Ma ", and "great concert", on the break ...but, Dean's playing was great on all of his guitars ...and the band was excellent. Vocals on pitch , in a live concert too !!! It's great to hear how musicians can work so well together. BTW, Dean had his new MSA with him on this job. JF
I've been advised to stay on the "back" of the order ,,, say like... Crosby/ Nash & Fessenden ah, yuh , we're all doing something about that "hair ' thing .... Graham doesn't want to share his formula. And to make things worse, I just got off the phone with Dean & he wants royalties for the picts he took with MY camera!
Oh yea. Hey Jerry. Did anyone come up to you and say-"It's amazing how much Melissa Etheridge's children look like you." Of course just having fun you my good friend. Congratulations on meeting and hearing two legends of music in my book.
Well Wally certainly is treating me better than ol' Danny & Ron,,,those guys are killin me ! I just listened to the cut of "Bus Stop" ( Hollies) & have to say it is a great song . I actually like the way Jim played it though,,,,super arrangement and he did use one of my guitars . Mike Ihde added great guitar. JF
I really liked the cut Jim did, great tone, pulling off Bus Stop is real trick, not your everyday steel song, great job Jim! Long live the Queen, does the car have Lucas electrics, positive ground?
