Thanks Richard,

I will give it a try.

Where are you located. We are planing a trip to Europe in April and part of the trip will be around the Nottingham area.

Mike, I agree with Richard on this one too. Vdownloader allows you to save your clip in common formats such as avi or mpeg thus eliminating the need to download a special program to play them. Windows Medial Player will work just fine to play them once you save them to your hard drive.

Bill, you would need to convert them to mpeg and then use a DVD video writing program to actually write the disc. Shouldn't be too hard.

Hi Richard Burton
Thanks but no thanks. I don't want to seem ungrateful but while I really would like to download the free program from the address you posted I won't go there because every time I go to one of these sites I wade through about two hours bull sh.. and still don't get the download. Maybe you could write a book "HOW TO NAVIGATE THROUGH BULLSH.. FOR DUMMIES" I'll buy one.

...but you'd probably have to buy it on line and wade through a barrage of bullshit before you found it. :D

Bo,
The information I imparted was given in good faith, I mistakenly assumed everyone was on broadband, not dial-up

Bo, you're missing out. I finally went and downloaded this. It's a pretty neat tool to have. No more looking for a flash/video codec after new Windows installs. Just convert a downloaded video to avi and play it whenever you like...

Is there a way to slow down the video once you've ripped it?

Thanks

MAC and YOUTUBE

Post by bob drawbaugh »

If you have a MAC check out the program "VIDEOBOX" You can download it and try it for free. I think it cost about $8.

As for putting them on DVD the resolution is so bad when played on the TV it not worth the trouble. IMHO but, on the MAc or IPOD they are ok.

Andy, thanks. I have experienced exactly that...they play fine on my computer. When I burn them to a DVD however, they won't play on my DVD player/TV. What do I do?
