Want to share your talent with others to hear?

Post by Charles Tilley »

I am starting a new web page at East Texas Steel Guitar Association (www.etsga.org) to showcase talent from those who want to share it with our web site visitors. If you want to be a part of this, send what you want used on the page and I will put it there. It can be Wave, MP3 or others. If I have a problem with it, I will advise you. Please include your name and town with your email so I can apply the credit.

PLEASE NOTE::: Send 1 file. Changes can be made monthly.

This is to promote steel guitarists so it is restricted to steel guitar music. Files with singers will not be posted.

Send email with files to ttexastilley@sbcglobal.net

Lets see what becomes of this.

Thanks Andy and John. Hey players, the files need to be WAVE, MP3 or WMA.

Other files I can't work with. If yours is not one of these, email me and tell me what it is.

You are most welcome Ken. I definitely enjoyed your file and know that others have also.

You need to come to Tyler, Texas to play for our Association one of these days.

This is a really great thing you are doing Charles. I am sending mail to you and we'll see how it goes. Keep up the good work. I am really interested in getting in touch with Jeff Colson from Rockford. I spent a few years up there myself. I'm wondering if maybe we might have crossed paths. Would be interesting to know.

Charles, I just got thru listening to all of those posted; just great, every one of them !!! :!: This thing you are doing, is a good thing. There is so much good talent out there, this way people all over the country can enjoy those that might not get heard otherwise. ALL are way out of my league; just to let you know, we appreciate your efforts..... :D

Folks, I am having a blast doing this. I am now getting Europe players sending files. Steel Guitar is a universal instrument and is played all over the world. If anyone has sent a file to me and hasn't seen it on the site, let me know. Bad weather with ice has caused problems with servers here locally.

Tne Netherlands, France and just where are the players from the Islands. Let's hear from you guys in Hawaii(if that is spelled right)

Jim Cohen has promised me "Surfer Girl". If you haven't heard that one, visit often so you can. It is GREAT.

Things are really pickin' up and gettin' better and better. I am getting some great players you may have never heard of. Of course, that is what I had in mind. The addition of Jim Cohen tonight is just one example. You just gotta hear "Surfer Girl"

Carrol, I am with East Texas Steel Guitar Association in Tyler, Texas but live just north of Dallas in Princeton, Texas.

I would suggets contacting Ora Oubre about local jams and player/teachers. His email is ooubre@aol.com .

I don't know of dobro teachers in the Tyler area. Ora might be your best bet.

Thanks for visiting and good luck with your talent.

Charles, I don't know how to send the songs, so I have asked Austin's dad to try to do it. Austin has a new CD out and Jerry has one song on it. I asked Randy to send Jerry's song and one of Austin's. Hope he can get it done.
