Has anyone else used one of these on a lap steel? I have been using one for increased sustain on my Curlee guitar for years, and just for grins and giggles put one on my new/old Gibson Royaltone, and it beefed up the sustain on open notes considerably. Has this been discussed before?

Yeah, Keith, there was a thread about this a while back. I haven't found it with a quick look, but it's lurking somewhere. Also a thread about solid brass peghead overlay...

Thanks Jeff! I can tell a distinct difference when I use it and am quite happy to have found all that discussion about it. It's been a while since it was talked about, so I don't feel too bad about bringing it up again.

Years ago I had an 1/8" plate machined to accomodate the backside of my Rick B8, just out of curiousity stemming from the late 80s adds of this type procuct.

Suprisingly, I didn't notice a difference when it went on or when it came off 5 years later.
