Am I the only one who had never heard of this dude until like two weeks ago? |

Jelly Roll Morton was pretty good.
There is too much of a culture gap between me and the currant Jelly Roll (hehe) for one of us to make a fair assessment of what the heck the other does. Safe to say he makes better money at whatever it is than I do.
The Allman Bros also wrote a great song called Jelly Jelly. The song kicks off with the phrase “Stormy Monday”, an obvious nod to BB Bland. |

Beyoncé half-naked is disgusting? Once again, I'm proud to disagree with this dude. |

Where is the insult? I'm just glad that our opinions never align. |

Post Malone did a nice job with “America The Beautiful” at the Super Bowl. “I’m Gonna Miss Her” is a pretty good classic country sounding song.
Okay, so there is no spectacular virtuosity in the pedal steel lick that hooks this song, but if Blanco Brown’s delivery does not bring a smile to your face then there may be no hope for you.

About 3000% better than the Beyoncé tune, or Lil Nas. No nekkidity in the video either, for them of you who experience discomfort over such things. This is how hip hop and country should have met. |

In case you were wondering, Robert Randolph plays pedal steel on Beyonce’s country album.
CBS-TV’s Mornings did a nice segment today with Robert sitting behind a silver sparkle MSA Legend, mostly talking about the album. He did play some sweet country licks to demonstrate the steel’s country sounds and his versatility.

Of course RR is on her album. I bet he was her first call and I bet he said HELLZyes. I hope she turned him loose on something. |
