SOLD and headed to Hawaii today---wish I was!!Pictures should tell most of the story on this one, sounds good, tuners work well. Currently strung E,C,A,G,E,C#,B with the B in the low position a small plain string tuned 1/2 step below the C (2'nd string) a Joaquin Murphy arrangement which provides a lot of cool stuff but just changing the low string could put it back to standard C6 very quickly. Seems I forgot to get a picture of the case but my guess is it wasn't used with this guitar very much as it is in very good shape.
About a year after I bought this someone posted on the forum about a guy from the Pennsylvania/NJ area who converted his 7 string Epi to a pedal guitar back in the day and I think this is that guitar as the strange looking device in front of the PU was attached to the headstock when I got it and you can see where stuff was attached at the bridge end also---sorta kicking myself for not saving that thread maybe someone will see this and add that info in?
It does have some holes through the peghead and the crude roller nut no longer rolls.
Not sure what to ask but will start at $400.00 plus shipping OBO.

Wow, Jay. Just had to comment: I had a Fender Deluxe 8-string ('59, I think) that had the same type of device attached to it. Luckily, it was attached to the bridge without drilling extra holes. I'd never seen one before, but it looks like it was made by the same craftsman. Still have it in my studio as a curiosity.
Anyway, good luck with the sale. If I wasn't divesting due to retirement, I'd be interested. Great looking steel.

I am doing the same thing-not retiring but surely getting old and needing to downsize my room full of stuff. Will have more for sale over the next few months---already sold a banjo!!  Lots more to go though!
I should mention that the tone pot on this is a little hard to turn for some reason but works correctly and is not scratchy at all. The volume pot works easily and is not scratchy or noisy until it almost reaches the full off position.

| Thanks to his son, Chris, I am pretty sure I can say that this guitar belonged to Rico Turchetti back in the 30's. If I knew how to forward links I would but if you are interested check out the thread in the Steel Players section entitled Early Pedal Steel Player for a more extensive history of what I am pretty sure is this guitar back in it's heyday. |

Sorry I thought I had responded to this already but I don't see it??
It's 15LBs in the case and the case is 34" long by 4 1/2" wide and 10" tall plus would need about an inch to that dimension for the handle and latches on one side and the hinges and feet on the other.

| I still have this and it's still for sale, open to offers. The physical condition is not great but it sounds and plays fine and it would be hard to beat this guitar's history. |
