I have a Marshall AVT 20 that I play a Stratocaster through and I like it well enough. I don't care for the pedal steel sound through it though. My son has a Fender Mustang III. I haven't tinkered with my PSG through that yet but I am going to give that a spin. Do any of you have any setting combinations for the Mustang III that you like for PSG that you would care to describe as a good starting point?
Thanks.

Jeff,
I have a Fender Mustang IV that I use for practice with headphones, and it is the same FX unit as the III. Hope you can understand the following, I didn't list what the parameters are just the left to right settings on each one.you can try this, and if you don't want to keep, just turn the select knob before you save. Maybe this will get you close enough to what you want..Bill
65 Fender twin, tape delay, large hall reverb
tape delay setting L-R...3.6/212ms/1.9/6.3/3.4
lg hall rev...L-R..3.3/4.0/2.9/5.0/6.8
gain..6.2..vol..7..treb..7.3...mid..7.6...bass..7 _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers

Excellent!
I am in DC for the week and won't be home to my PSG until Saturday. I am looking forward to giving your settings a spin and seeing how that works out for me.
Thanks a lot for taking time to respond. I appreciate the input.

Just be aware that guide settings can be completely useless depending on the comparative sizes and configurations of the rooms the guitars are played in. What sounds good in one venue or empty room can sound radically different elsewhere. _________________ No chops, but great tone

Bill,
I really appreciate you sharing these settings. I got home tonight and gave this a spin. This thing is pretty far from ok. The problem is well outside of what I think anyone would call personal preference or anything that could be attributed to different rooms or even different guitars. Esta muy mal.
I have read about other folks who have had problems with this model amp caused by cold solder joints. I don't know if that is the issue with this amp or not, but it doesn't sound good.
I am not giving up but my initial attempt to get a good sound out of this thing has failed.
Thanks again for your input.

Jeff,
Like I said, I use for headphone practice only, you may want to start dry with an amp model you like, and go from there with delay, reverb, etc.
