I am not too sure, but I believe Noel used A-6th &
E-13th. Both tunings were popular in the 1940s & 1950s.

In Andy Volk's book, Lee Jeffries uses what he calls the Noel Boggs E13:

1.E
2.C#
3.G#
4.F#
5.D
6.B
7.G#
8.E

I think it's also referred to as a Hawaiian E13. I'm sure there's many more he used. I'll look into it.

Pat K-I like the E13TH tuning that is commonly referred to as "Leon's" (McAuliffe)
1)E
2)C#
3)B
4)G#
5)F#
6)D
7)B
8 )E

I prefer not being locked into major mode by omitting the low (3RD) G#
