Joe,
Thanks, Tune did not start out to be Drowsy Waters. I was playing along with some tracks I Had on my Yamaha keyboard in E 9th,Then recognize the trk as Drowsy Waters about half way thru and switched over to C6th neck and played Byrd's version on the other half.

I recently got acquainted with Vern thru E Mail and SGF. We swapped CD's and I have to say this about Vern. I have quite an extensive collection of steel guitar players going back many years, But when I listened to Verns CD's a light came on and I thought.... the way this man plays is refreshing. Oh yes.. there are many great and good steel players in this world, but Vern plays outside the box. When he plays a song, its his way which is orignal and enlighting. Great job Vern... glad we got acquainted. Lee |

Vernon Hester is first class, as both a gentleman, AND a musician! I am proud, and honored, to call him my friend. And it just tickles me silly that I got to be an "Old Codger" for one gig!
Thanks, Vern!!! |

You're in the clear, Vern---My G.I. doctor told me today I'd be OK if I lost about 50 lbs., that means no hot dogs, no NOTHING! Some Christmas present, huh? |
