I've got a bunch of the Jeff Newman band with vocal tracks(minus steel) CD's, but was looking for other sources. Rob Parker has a nice one too. Does anybody out there on the Forum know of another company that makes country tracks with band and vocals minus the steel? Since there aren't any bands around here to play with on my dark day I'm pretty much limited to practice with the CD player through speakers and the tracks. I need the vocals along with the band. Some of the tracks CD's I have are instrumental only, and I don't know the song. Sometimes I make up one to the chord pattern, but my real steel thing is backup behind singers. Thanks- Michael Breid-Eureka Springs, Ozark Mountains, Arkansas |

Hi Michael
There are some good CDs around with vocals and no steel. Try the 'Hag Bag' from Mike Headrick ( he has some more on the way), Texas Dance Hall Classics - Steve Alcott (a Forum member) and 'Big Country Hits' by Bryan Adams (again a Forum member)
Jeff Newman did loads of stuff - the Woodshed Workshops Nos: 1 to 51 are my favourites. |
