I arranged this little instrumental to follow up on the technique to acquire yet another nice Country Pedal Sound for the Six String Lap Steel Guitar.
This one is done on the E6th. tuning with the high G# and looks like this:Low to high
E--G#--B--C#--E--G#.
I chose the key of G# for the song because it offered the open string on the top which plays an important part here and puts the home base at Fret 4.
On C6th tuning Fret 4 is the Key of E and also offers the availability of the top open string ie: C--E--G--A--C--E.
So this instrumental can be played either in E6th or C6th.
Andy Sandoval has provided the link to my MP3. No excuses, it's tough sleddin' folks but with work and time this technique can be developed into a real nice Country sounding presentation.
As usual I am offering for a limited time
the Tablature, and on line dialogue to help with problems and/or answer questions. It will be ready soon and I hope to have slow down note for note MP3's in two parts of the whole song.

Have you also considered A6 with the (open-2nd)? C#—E—F#–A–C#–E

OH, my mistake! That would require a different Tab!

It can get confusing can't it John!
In the No Pedalers section there is a Steppin" it Up thread also and we just added a C6th sound file I played on the C6th tuning on a sit down Reso and a picture to boot.
