Bill: You may want to do a search for previous postings on Harmos guitars, as the topic has been covered here a number of times before. I had the chance to play and hear a pair of Harmos instruments that Sage brought to the Sacred Steel convention in Orlando two years ago. Both were easily among the finest sounding, best playing steels I've ever come across. Exceptional workmanship too.

The Harmos steel is a unique, well thought out space age instrument that is well constructed. It is so light, you can pick it up with your pinky finger. This is no exageration.

It is an excellent sounding guitar with good clean string separation and tone. Yes, it's a high quality instrument.

Of course it looks anything but traditional and that may freighten some. It sounds much more traditional that it looks.

I'm not a play out player (electric, anyhow) so I can't give you any experience of using it in a gig situation, or critically comparing it to other dteels.

Jerry Douglas and Robert Randolph are among Sage's clients.

Where is Sage anyhow?

Sage has been to the house a few times to jam. The guitars are amazing. Tone is not a function of mass, and Sage can prove it. I'd love to have one someday.
