| Wouldnt it be wonderfull to have Buddy write stories about his life. How he got started, his experiences on the road, his experiences in the studio, etc. etc. This would be a great documentary also on the evolution of the pedal steel. I know many of us would love to read such a book. It would be interesting to read about his contribution to the steel guitar and his insights on musicians that he has played with over the years. It would be a different perspective on music than what Ralph Emery or singers have written about over the years. Maybe some of you out there who are close to Buddy could convince him to do it. |

I remember how much I enjoyed not only the lessons in playing, but the great stories in Tommy Tedesco's "For Guitar Players Only" book. I still keep it tucked away, and take it out when I want to remember Tommy, (may he rest in peace).
Buddy's book would be another one of those great books you would keep forever. I hope it happens.

Any clue when E will be back for 'Ask Buddy'?
I know it's time consuming, but it sure was great to have him around for our redundant, ridiculous questions.

This subject has come up before. I think we'd all love to see such a book.
Here's the working title I would use:
"Quest for tone: the life and times of Buddy Emmons".

If I had the bucks and the gumption I would produce a video on the man. Kind of ridiculous that, with all of the instructional and biographical videos done by countless players, there is NOTHING on the living legend that are Buddy.
