Ok, just remembered Tom Brumley, but got you another question.. Who played steel after Tom left..??? I think there was a steel player that left Jamboree USA, and played with Buck at about the same time as Doyle played bass with Buck.. thanks. John

John, Tom left Buck in '69 and Jay Dee was with him for about a year including the startup of Hee Haw. There was one other whose name escapes me for now but Terry (Christoferson)? has been with Buck for many moons.

Thanks guys, I'll throw some of those names at my buddy tomorrow.. He was here earlier this evening, & we were discussing Buck's steel players, & we agreed on Ralph Mooney, & Tom Brumley. & I thought Jay Dee Maness played for him, but he thought it was somebody else that left Jamboree USA to play for Buck.. It could be Jerry that he was referring to.. The only thing that I'm sure about is , it wasn't me.. ha ha ...John

Just talked to him & he recalled that it was Jerry Brightman... This guy is from West Virginia, & couldn't remember the name, but said he was a great steel player.. Thanks all for your input.. John

Currently Terry Kristofferson (not sure of his last name spelling)..Terry doubles on a Steinberger Electric guitar and plays a Sierra pedal steel at the "Crystal Palace" in Bakersfield, CA..Buck is still playing and also has special guest country Celebs playing at his club.
