There is a lot of speculation and hearsay in this topic. Let's give it a week and then get a report from Billy on what has happened.

Joe I,m not trying be a pain, so please don't take It that way. But It's quite obvious if Billy had recieved his Emmons, he would have told us.

I guess what i'm trying to say is, Billy has been through a lot and he'll let us know when there is some news.

I'm sorry to report that I've heard from Billy and he seems ready to give up on this and accept his $3k loss.

I've grown suspicious of this whole affair. I wish that I had not become involved.

Billy Jenkins needs to state publically (publish via the Forum) exactly what has transpired here.

He briefly posted his claim, then deleted it. It was upsetting to read. Some of us contacted him by email and/or phone to find out exactly what happened. We then went to bat for him, but he has remained strangely silent.

Those of us that tried to go to bat for him are now probably on the Emmons Co "enemies list", our names being bandied about Nashville as the Forum jerks who dared to question the ethics of the Nashville big boys.

Some may have even endured the email wrath of the omnipitent Mike Cass (good thing I don't own a push-pull !).

In any event, Billy Jenkins needs to republish, without deleting, his claim.

He needs to be a little more assertive and agressive if he expects his fellow Forum members to back him up like the brotherhood some are deluded into thinking we are and many wish we were.

We don't want to be unjustly critical of the Emmons Co. But their silence does not make them look good either.

But I'm starting to feel that there is much more here than meets the eye, and that goes both ways, I'm afraid.

Regards,
HH

Billy, remember me? You have called and emailed me several times over the past few years about various equipment. I have 2 new Emmons in stock if you want one. I am sorry to hear about your difficulties. I know all the forumites are push pulling for you.

What I meant was.(Heck)I hope this poor man gets the guitar he's already paid for. Your post came off to me as insensitive. But I apologize if I'm wrong.Maybe you were offering to loan him, or maybe even give him a new guitar. Thanks Bobbe,if I buy a (whole) set of strings can I get a free room? ---------Crazy B

This post and the related issues that have been discussed in other posts/topics has saddened me. I was caught up briefly with all this and having been a business owner, I feel for all concerned that a neutral position must be held until all is heard publicly from both the horse's mouth. Second hand info, even from one of the parties involved, doesn't carry weight especially if all is resolved. Stuff happens on a regular basis and if this issue is resolved and acknowledged by both parties, then everyone is a winner. Making assumptions on hear say and heavy weights going to bat publicly is not definitive. Again, in my subnivean opinion, both involved parties need to say whazzzzz-up.

Gary Lee

I dont feel that Mr. Boggs was cursing, that was only one word.I believe cursing is described as three or more profane words spoken loudly in anger in the same sentence.
Where in the @#$%^&* is my (*&^$%$ guitar???
Thats how its done,right Bobbe???

I'm glad to see Billy is finally posting about this. Check http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum15/HTML/000739.html

I believe this should be kept a public issue until Billy receives the guitar that he claims he already paid the Emmons company $3000 for.

b0b,
Please close this post as it's much better that the info comes straight from Billy (or The Emmons company ).
