b0b is selling this CD to support the Forum here and we are also selling the CD on our web site, as well.

Bobby Black has just come out with his very first psg instrumental CD !!!

As many folks say: "YAY! Finally! It's about time! and Congratulations to Bobby, the producer, John Rewind of Rear Window Music, and all the talented musicians."

The name of the CD is called "The Steel Guitar of Bobby Black". Although it often sounds like lap steel as one listens to the album, 11 of the 13 numbers actually are done on pedal steel guitar (his Carter) and 2 of the cuts on lap steel (Rickenbacker dual frypan 7-string) and one on both dobro and psg . . .

.mp3 Sound Sample ... yes, all 3 MB ... the whole song!

Besame Mucho Sound Sample
can be found as a link on this page.

Hope you enjoy it and we invite you to support the FORUM by purchasing the album from b0b!

I haven't had time to write a review of it yet, but I will say that this is a great steel guitar album. Bobby's been one of my heros since I first heard him. This CD is well played, well produced and long overdue.

So, was Besame Mucho played on a 6th or a 9th tuning?

BTW, its a great arrangement.

Bobby plays C6th a lot more than he plays E9th. It sounds like C6th to me.

The new Bobby Black Cd is super!!!!

I'm a great fan of Bobby and this is a great steel guitar Cd. Great tone , very well produced and the selection of the songs is extraordinary..
We'll make a review of this cd in our spanish magazine.
Besame mucho is one of my favourites.
I agree with Bobby I believe that is in C6th cause I play this song in C6 nonpedal since a long time, and it sound to me C6.
