And Tom Morrell has certainly earned a spot in the pantheon.

They wanted to keep it quiet until the HOF fundraiser on Thursday. I guess the cat's out of the bag now, though.

Both inductees are tops in my book, well deserving of the honor. Congratulations, Herby and Tom.

Not only is Herby a great player, but a great teacher as well! I owe my progress to him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he have the first "Mass produced" tab instruction for Emmons Guitar back in the '60,s?

I know Tommy and Herbie are great players and it's beating a dead horse again but "WHY ARE THEY IN THE HALL OF FAME BEFORE MAURICE ANDERSON AND JULIAN THARPE?" Especially Maurice! I just don't get it. I know this has been covered many times on the Forum but it's never been answered to my satisfaction. What's wrong with these people. To me it just shows that maybe the HOF isn't an honor after all and doesn't mean anything because once again it looks like the people doing the balloting (whoever they are) don't know a d@mn thing about the steel guitar and the people who build and play it........

Well, since full disclosure regardless of consequences seems to be the name of the game here....
Who's your friend, Myron ?

Jerry, that is indeed a dead horse because the board members are not going to answer your questions here on the Forum. This topic is supposed to be about the newest inductees. Let's not dilute it with bickering about the SGHOF election process, okay?

Myron, that was a masterful example of dithering around the circumference, but you never did answer my question.
