PC Recording

Post by Rick Tyson »

Ive been wanting to get into PC recording for my own enjoyment and little projects but I really dont want to dive into the big Pro PC Recorders just yet like Pro Tools & Cakewalk.
Does anyone know of a small multitrack PC recording download, Demo, Freeware or other that one could use to get his feet wet before diving in with the heavy weights of PC recording????
Thanks to all in advance
Rick

try www.Polderbits.com or something like that (I may have the "com" wrong??) I downloaded it and payed $12. (shareware fee)
It has a recorder & an editor that will allow you to record a tape & then it will automatically divide it into the individual cuts for you. Worked for me, bur there may be others to consider.

Why don'tyou check out Internet Tapedeck here: http://www.recordlab.com/downloads/td/index.html

or just download it free from here: http://www.recordlab.com/downloads/tdfull.exe

It's a freeware 8-track recorder that kind of looks and works like a porta-studio.

Doug: Isn't Polderbits great? I use it exclusively for recording from LPs.....although for low budget multi-tracking, I haven't found anything better than Internet Tapedeck. Get it while you can, cuz the website comes and goes.
[This message was edited by Tommy Mc on 06 June 2002 at 10:05 AM.]

One that is very popular, and very very good, is Ntrack from www.fasoft.com

You can download a demo for free, register it online..

I use it, and it can do about everything any of them can do..
