Internet radio buffering

Post by Larry Clark »

Is there anything I can do on my end, short of getting a new computer or going to a dsl connection, to reduce the length and frequency of "buffering dropouts"? It got kind of annoying during the convention broadcast to have those gaps in the middle of the performances. Thanks, Larry Clark

I don't think so. The buffering problem was on their end, probably because of so many people listening. I use a cable modem and I had many buffering problems as well, not so much during the interviews and canned music, but very much during the live sets.

My Real Audio connection showed it was only a 16K/second stream and my cable modem can handle well over 500K/second.
