I have a friend, locally, that has AT&T service. His connection speed is below average, and he is limited to a certain number of hours per month as many services have gone to.

If Earthlink is in your area, look at them. They have an "unlimited" number of hours service and good connection speeds.

I had Earthlink dial-up, before switching to DSL, and if I had to go back to dial-up it would be Earthlink.

Personally, I like AT&T's WorldNet service. Forget their software and stuff. I have set up my parents' computer to just dial up using Dial-up Networking. I use AT&T RoadRunner cable. If you can get that, go for it! It is wonderful!
