K-Mart is promoting a "free" ISP, but it's probably like the others - you have to put up with the ads. The "freebies" still have their price.

Wow, i'm sorry to hear this. I planned on using freewwweb for both my computer and webtv. What a bummer. My friend just dumped bluelight. She has a new free service that she likes which gives her 56k access. I will have to check which it is and post it later.

Freeinternet.com (the Bob site) Works well for me. After setting it up, delete the desktop icon, go to your dial ups and create a shortcut from the kick file. Then when you kick the program you will not get the ads. Unless they have changed it since I last used it, this was a workable get arond.

Yup, freewwweb is gone. What a deal.

Now I'm down to using Juno. (again.)

I don't like freei. It just doesn't seem to play nice with my computer. (I don't know why.)

erik, do you have a work around for the ad banners on juno, or netzero.

Also, maybe you can help me with my outlook express 5. I've set it up for juno, and for netzero.(Netzero is the default.) But....it doesn't like to send through netzero, if I am connected to juno, and vise versa.

Thanx

Craig

I almost hate to say this, but you said..

>>Surely one of the freebies has heeded freewwweb's sucessful model. <<

I'd say if it was a successful model, they would still be in business, right???

jdg

p.s. I hate the ads also. Good luck

My computer is not online, i'm using webtv. But to complete my earlier comment; my friend is using "freelane" from excite. She says it supports 56k.
