I often try do down load to a floppy and run out of room.Is there a way to split a down load between 2 or more floppies.
If not,what about zipping and unzipping the files.If that will work how do I do it.

Why are you downloading to a floppy instead of the hard drive?? Even if you are downloading a 2 or 3 mb file you surely have enough space left on the hard drive. If you don't it's time for an upgrade on the hard drive. Downloading to floppies is not the way to do it.

| I heard that complaint before and tried it just to figure a way around it.What worked for me was to load the file and do a backup(on just the file) and windows instructed me as to when the floppy was full and to put in the next floppy.. |

External Zip Drives are about $100 these days. 1 Zip holds about 70 floppies worth of data.

Hi Louie,
Are you really trying to download from the Internet, or are you trying to copy a file from your hard disk to a floppy?
If you are trying to download it from the Internet, I would take Jack Stoner's advice and download to your hard drive and then copy it to a floppy if you want to later.
If you are trying to copy a large file from your hard drive to a floppie, try using a program called Filesplit. You can download it from the Internet at www.download.com
I use it and find that it works just fine. You cannot copy more than one file at a time, such as might be found in a folder, but for large files it will solve your problem. It is shareware.
