Lexicon Storage Mode Problems

A friend of mine is having a problem with his Lexicon 100. He programs an effect and stores it. When he turns the knob to go to that particular stored program, the right effect is there, but the parameters aren't? He has to set the parameters manually again. Any ideas as to the problem?
