| A (+) wire from the battery to the small board on my Goodrich preamp worked its way loose from the small printed curcit.I cant find where it goes.Is there anyway to get a schematic for this unit.I can do the repair if I know which hole on the PC it goes to.Thanks. |

I doubt that the wire "worked it's way loose" from the PCB. More likely it broke off at the PCB. Examine it closely and you may be able to see where it was.
Goodrich doesn't put out schematics. If someone on the forum doesn't come to your rescue with where it is, your best bet is to call Goodrich and let them tell you where the wire connects to the PCB. |

Right Jack! I, too, have noticed the "neglect" of modern manufacturers to include schematics when you buy piece of equipment. Thirty or forty years ago, EVERY amp and piece of equipment you bought came with a schematic. Now, they want you to pay an extra $5-$10 for it!!!
Come on guys, it only costs 25 cents! You're not helping your "image" here! Or maybe you don't want the customer to know exactly what they bought! Poor "PR" indeed, if you ask me! |

| Donny, Goodrich doesn't even sell schematics. Goodrich also goes to the extreme of obliterating the part number on IC chips and some transistors, so no one can copy their products. We discussed this on another topic and I don't have a problem with a small company protecting their investment, but some seem to be paranoid about it. |

The one and only time I had a problem with a Goodrich product I called. I was told to send the unit to him. When I got it back he had upgraded it from an older 1-battery circuit to a newer 2-battery circuit.
The charge? $10, but he paid the shipping.
The moral is, send it to Goodrich. Let him repair it.
If Goodrich gave out schematics people would be running down to Radio Shock for parts to build their own from HIS schematic.
