R.I.P. Buck ...

Great Brumley solo in this clip. They just don't make jackets like that anymore - or if they do, it's impossible to wear them with the sense of innocence of 40 yrs ago.

That harmony singing by Don was some of the BEST you will ever hear.

My computer is messed up and will not let me watch the video. I was a kid when the show was on television so I have a huge interest in seeing any footage of those old shows. Seeing Don Rich just sends chills down my spine. He was such a great player and singer and we lost him way too early. I would like to know who the bass player and the drummer were for Buck Owens. Tongiht on RFD there will be a Buck Owens special and I am hoping there will be some footage from the television show with Don Rich and the rest of the band. Those were the days when they played good country music IMHO.

A wonderful nostalgic clip from the past from when Buck was filming those shows at WKY-TV in Oklahoma City. It's good to see my old friend Doyle who I played with earlier in his career in his family band with his mother, sister, and brother-in-law.

Buck and Don... Wow! They still sizzle, don't they?

Lennon/McCartney, the Everlys, Buck and Don. God bless 'em every one.

I listened to a lot of Buck Owens when I was little and have to say that he and his band have a lot to do with me taking up music like I did. Dad and I loved watching Don Rich play guitar and fiddle, and Buck just seemed to have a knack for coming up with some really tasteful arrangements to his music. Those arrangenents got me interested in playing steel, and Don getting me more interested in guitar playing.

How about another clip from the show a few years later, with Wynn Stewart singing with the Buckaroos.
Whoever posted this clip said it was '67 but I think it's '69 when this song was out.

Baz, I'm just the guy who noticed it while web surfing, not the person who uploaded the clip to YouTube.
