I know, NO STEEL GUITAR, but I have to adimit I enjoyed this TV Opry more than any I've witnessed, or even performed on myself, for a long, long, time. No one was plugging their latest record, people were just going out there and "performing and playing." It even looked as if they were sincerely enjoying it. Last but no Least, Thank God for 30 minutes of music with NO #$%#@#%$ DRUMS.

Bob: Rhonda was plugging her latest bluegrass song.
As for Patti she just sang her heart out.

Charlie Pride was good singing his own songs. Not too many people, including Charlie, can get away with singing a Marty Robbins tune. Best, Boomer

I have to agree with Bob, it was a wonderful show even if there wasn't ANY steel. Mike Snyder was funny with his religious jokes, Rhonda Vincent and her band were pure and she sang good but no one topped Patty Loveless. THAT GIRL CAN SING and I loved her choice of songs tonight. Sorry we didn't see you tonight Tommy but there is always next week. I did see your steel sitting in the shadows though!
