Great line up! I'm not a fan of the Warren Bros. but I'm still going to watch them. Maybe I'll be surprised. I think Steve Byam plays steel for them or at least he did. There will be a lot of drueling over Sara Evans from couches across America. Jeannie Shepard has been one of my favorite singers for 40 years and she still is "pretty Miss Jeannie Shepard" to me. Ricky Skaggs is always entertaining. This will be a good show.

Mike Holder took Steve Byam's place some time ago. I guess he is still with them?

I was scanning back and forth between the opry and the Hank Williams bio on A and E.

However I did get a quick glance at Dave Robbins and I heard and sniplet behind the
Warren brothers.

Don't forget the Opry specials Sunday on A and E and Thursday on CBS.

Now watching Columbo with Johnny Cash

Overall it was a very good show. Dave sounded real good. Also the Warren Bros. surprised me and were pretty good. I think I had only heard them once or twice in the past and wasn't that impressed. I guess I tend to like music more when I can see the band.

I agree with Richard, the Warren Bros. had a good performance and I was pleasantly surprised. I was disappointed with Sara Evans. She is a great singer but her song last night was rock and roll! The jury is still out on her belly button. She is beautiful and I would not mind at all seeing her "nekkid as a jaybird" but not on the Opry stage. Dave Robbins always does a great job backing up Jean Shepard. They compliment each other nicely and I have always enjoyed his style and taste. Ricky Skaggs is a good entertainer and last night was no exception but then, I like Bluegrass music also.

I watched the whole show. I didn't care much for Sarah's song, but the rest of the show was great. I'll have to admit that I like the Opry lately.

I went to Austin City Limits after the Opry. Brad Paisley can really burn that guitar up. He seemed real likeable too.

Richard and Mike,
thanks guys for the kind words.
We'll be live on the Midnight Jamboree after the Opry this saturday night for those of you who get it via radio or internet. Or if you're in town, see the Opry and Tommy White "live" then stop by the Midnight Jamboree and say "HI!"

Dave
