I have a 2004 6120-DS that it looks like I may need to part with. The guitar is as new, and includes the papers and even the original Gretsch shipping carton. A few months ago the guitar had a pro set up by a luthier (not a guitar tech) who leveled the frets, evened out the nut slots and bridge slots and optimized the pickup heights. I can send some pics if interested....I would like to get $1,675 for the guitar.
Note that this is the the rarer "DS" version that is not being made anymore (has been replaced by the "DSV")....which is quite a shame. I found the DS to be quite superior to the DSV from all aspects including the color (very nice orange versus the reddish color of the DSV) and the bridge (better intonation with the Bigsby bridge versus the DSV's bar bridge). The DS is essentially a reissue of the 1956 6120, while the DSV is a reissue of the 1957 6120. The DS was only in production in 2004.
More details: guitar has a brass nut, aged binding, DynaSonic (single-coil) pickups, Bigsby intonated bridge, Bigsby vibrato, tone control, individual pickup volume controls and master volume control.

| I own this same model and it is worth every penny of what you are asking. It is hands down my favorite guitar. And you are right that the DS is really special, I can't understand why they stopped making it. |

| My first Gretsch was a '56 6120 with the DeArmond pickups. Your picture sure brought back memories. That guitar surely had a lot of bite to it. I paid $385 plus the case and I can still remember the new smell it had. I was so proud of it because Chet was playing one like it and he was my hero. |

| Joe, I traded it for a Country Gent in '58 and then traded that for another CG in '60 which I still have. Yes, because Chet was then playing the 6122, as he did until he switched to Gibson, which I also have a Country Gent by Gibson. |

Hmmm....I've had a handful of inquiries, but no takers just yet. How's about if I include the shipping cost?
Again, I have all the original packaging, including the Gretsch box.....

Well....I'm hoping that maybe by dropping the price a bit somebody will be willing to grab this great guitar. I really need to sell it.
How about $1,675.00?
This guitar is not even one year old. Has the case, paperwork, and a pro set up (by a luthier, not just a "guitar tech")....
