I have a friend who is thinking of selling an early 70's Gibson Ripper bass and was wondering what it is worth. It is in excellent condition w/case.

Hi there ,
The vintage guitar price guide states $550-750...but IMHO check ebay or stores in major cities...color, fretted or non-fretted , condition ,etc. all make a difference .

| Barb, I have one w/maple neck. Typically the dealer want to seal it..but I did have a guy offer me $600 sight unseen. I had the origional PU changed to a D/Marzio when I first bought it..so mine is not "stock" so, I would think one untouched, would be worth more, to an individual..(not a dealer)..Hope this helps.. nice Bass, but OHHHH my aching back. |
