I'm thinning the herd to pay for a new mandolin. This thing is in mint condition and is a cool alternative to a Fender Deluxe-8. It's an early 60s,23" scale black and white w/tone,volume pots and slide switch for tone control bypass. The case is in excellent condition as well.It stands on 3 legs - two facing back and the middle one going forward. It can be played lap style too as it has the non-skid felt on the bottom. It sounds lovely for Hawaiian,Hillbilly,Sacred and can rock when cranked(think David Lindley on "Mercury Blues").I got it from Greg Leisz a few years ago so I could travel light when doubling on guitar(15 lbs in case). I'll let it go for $500.00 + I'll split shipping. E-mail Pix available on request unless somebody will help me post them on this thread. -MJ- |

Does this have the 'string through' pickup like on supro and national 6 string steels? |

That particular model is a keeper. It does have the string-through pickup. It sounds like my National Dynamic but with eight strings. If I had the money, I'd buy it myself.
