Anyone know what the covers on top of this shobud is good for? Late 74 Sho Pro III Custom

Who knows? Might be to cover up or try and prevent cracks that often appear in that area front of the changers on wood finished steels.

Maybe just someone's idea of related bling against the polished aluminum.

...or none of the above. 😐

My Pro III has a crack behind the C6 neck, so the
‘cover-up’ idea makes sense. Take ‘em off and see what’s under them..? 👍
