Thanks so much Jeff. When my wife and I visited Texas {from Australia} 10 years ago we were lucky enough to meet and hear Tommy play at a dance at Kendalia halle.I had bought that album when it first came out and been a fan of Tommy ever since. Your tab is going to keep me busy for a long time!

Hey Brendan, hope that helps. If you do a search for my name in the tablature section you should find a few more tabs of Tommy D's steel from that great Doug Sahm album. Can't guarantee they're perfect but I gave it a shot! I love Texas honky tonk steel and you won't find better than Tommy D, Ricky Davis (check out his playing with Weldon Henson, Dale Watson, and Miss Leslie), and Steve Palousek (check out his live performance with the late great Gary Stewart on the "Gary Stewart "Live At Billy Bob's" album). Tommy's been on the road with Jake Hooker and the Outsiders for the past few years - more great Texas country and steel.

Thanks again Jeff, mate I am flat out trying to get that one little bit starting at 1:44 on the you tube! Anyway so much to work on. You are right about Tommy and Ricky D, both great players. I could not believe how I could walk into any little bar or big dance hall in Texas and hear the best music played by top class musicians.
