Sustainer in PSG?

Post by Cappone dAngelo »

Hi all! I've been prototyping a sustainer driver for my eMando and 6-string guitars with good results. I know it's been done on lap steels, but is anyone aware of anyone installing a sustainer system on PSG?

I acknowledge that PSG is perhaps one of the last use cases given that we already have so much sustain available, but this would be for situations where I would otherwise use an eBow. I'm aware of the EM Drive Sustain System from Steeltronics, as well as the system where the driver is in the steel itself (connected by a cable), but is anyone aware of any examples of a sustainer driver - for example a Sustainiac or Fernandes Sustainer or similar - installed on a PSG?

Thanks,

Many pedal steel guitars, By the way they are built, Gives the guitar a lot of built in sustain. Then with work on volume pedal control, Gives you about all the sustain you need on a pedal steel guitar.
Then, If you just have to have more sustain, The next step up in sustain is an E-Bow. Which many players have in their goodies.
